What Were They Thinking?

I just heard a commercial for A.G. Edwards where they were using the same music as they use for "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Yeah, I want the company that's going to handle my financial planning to be as inept and irritating as Larry. Considering that pretty much everything that he touches turns out badly, why would any company risk conjuring up those images by using the same music?

But apparently they aren't the only company with faulty short-term memory. I see Chrysler has introduced an upscale big-assed SUV and called it the Aspen. It's hard not to remember the mediocre economy car from the 70's that carried the same moniker. Perhaps I should "ask Dr. Z" if there are any plans to roll out a new "Volare" any time soon.

Oh I'm sure these fools weren't hip enough to watch a primetime cable series. They probably think "The Sopranos" is about a classical singing group.

LOL, they are probably aiming at me since I refuse to give the cable company money so that I can watch HBO. Having said that, WTF? Is this really a good time for yet another hummer? Besides the gas consumption, who wants to ride around in something that reminds everyone of the damned war in Iraq?

We have an ice cream truck that comes through the neighborhood selling ice cream to kids. The person who drives the truck plays music on loud speakers. She only plays one song over and over, the theme from The Sting. I find it funny as hell.

Hey, it's always a good time for a hummer... oh, wait; nevermind.

But who would have expected a truck that serves both ice cream AND irony?
