I must be living under a rock. Until I discovered this video, I was unaware of the existence of Fainting Goats. These cute little creatures have a genetic disorder called myotonia which results in their muscles freezing up when they are startled, causing them to collapse. A favorite of shepherds who kept the goats with their flocks as insurance against predator attacks, allowing the wolves to go after the goats while the sheep flee. More history and pics here.
