Well Volty predicted correctly. People believe all the religious and political garbage flung at them and we get to watch the aftermath every day on tv. Whatta life! Re: the Deadwood thing - a local columnist today said that our society is run by the gun totin bushwhakers, much like Deadwood.

Interesting thought, but I'd have to disagree with the premise. Actually, it's being run by the Hurst types, who you don't see doing the gun totin' but use hired guns to enforce their will. But I certainly can't argue with the idea that evil, nefarious types are ruling with an iron fist and ignoring the interests of the common man to advance their agenda and line their own pockets with gold.
