Some Thoughts Are Best Left Unsaid

I was reading the morning paper today at breakfast, and had The Today Show on as background noise. Matt Laurer was interviewing some of the family members of those trapped in the explosion at a West Virginia mine. I think that all our hearts are with these folks, so don't take what I'm about to say the wrong way, but at the end of the interview, which I wasn't paying much attention to, I hear Matt say, "good luck in the search for your husband and father". My reaction was "Dear God, it IS West Virginia...please let that be two different people!"

Hard to believe that this tragedy could get worse, but it did. I had my spirits lifted this morning when I saw the headline on the front of the paper this morning "12 Miners Are Found Alive". That quickly turned in a Dewey moment as I turned on the TV and found out what really happened. My deepest sympathies go out to all involved.

Agreed, it's a horrible sad situation and I do feel so badly for those people. However, you comment did make me laugh, I'm embarassed to say.
