Karen Hughes Sells Brand America
Another curious choice, white-bread Karen Hughes to sell our image to the Muslim world. But in a sense, that's just consistent with so many other appointments like putting a man who favors torture in charge of the justice department and putting someone who doesn't believe in diplomacy in place as the UN ambassador. Not to mention having an unethical leader in charge of the House Republicans, with little public outcry (not that it's Bush's fault, but it's GOP business as usual). And now W nominates Wolfowitz to the World bank. Let's hope that he isn't able to do to the world economy what his neo-con wisdom has done for Iran.

"America's image in the world will depend not on branding but on actions." But our actions so consistently reflect our arrogance and show us not caring about how we are perceived, and not caring about the plight of others in this country and abroad. It's time we stop just talking a good game, and start doing!
